What colours are available on your steel doors?
Most steel door models are available in white and brown as standard and are available. A select few of our premium doors are available in many colours. See you local dealer or retailer for exact model or colour availability.

Can I paint my door?
Yes! All of our steel doors can be painted with a quality latex paint only. Do not use an oil base paint. (Oil base paint creates a chemical reaction which causes the original finish to bubble up and peel off.) With latex paint, there is no prep work needed other than to make sure the door is clean and dry before painting. There is no change in the section warranty, as long as the above guidelines are followed. What is headroom?
Headroom is the distance between the top of the door and the lowest point of the ceiling or any obstruction such as a garage door opener rail, pipes, or ductwork.

How much headroom do I need?
This depends on what type of spring system that your new door will have. For Extension springs, a minimum of 10" is required for the door to operate. Torsion springs require 12". Remember, these amounts are for door operation only. If you are installing a garage door opener, additional headroom is required. Check with the opener manufacturer for additional headroom requirements.
